5 Install additional HELIOS products

Virtual Server Appliance includes EtherShare, PCShare, WebShare, and IT Monitor Server. Additional HELIOS products can be added using the HELIOS CD. Installable products are:

ImageServer
Server-based image processing and ICC color transformation

PDF HandShake
Create PDF Server – PDF Preflight – PDF Printing – PDF OPI

PrintPreview
Certified softproof & annotations for PDF, images and Office documents via WebShare

Tool Server
Server-automated client applications

Script Server
Server-based hot folder automation

If running, quit “Configuration Assistant” to get a root shell (Exit to shell).

Use the ISO file of the HELIOS CD as a virtual CD-ROM drive for your VM.

Run the following commands to mount the device:

# mkdir -p /mnt/cdrom
# mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom

Note:

The “/dev/cdrom” path may vary depending on the host's hardware and hypervisor configuration. If there is no “cdrom”, check for “cdrom1”, “dvd”, “dvd1”, etc.

Run HELIOS Installer:

# cd /mnt/cdrom
# ./installer

Follow the instructions given in the chapter “Software installation” in the HELIOS Base manual.

After the installation, unmount the device:

# cd /
# umount /mnt/cdrom
# eject
