afpsrv - possible data loss problem

The Mac OS X 10.7/10.8 Finder shows files with a zero file ID
as an alias to the volume root directory, in case the file is
read-only for the connected user.

Removing this alias or any parent folder could then result in the
removal of the complete volume content by the Mac OS X Finder. It
will remove all files and folders, assuming remove access was given.

This update implements a workaround for this Finder problem.

The problem only occurred when using non-HELIOS tools (e.g. UNIX
tools without "dt") for creating or modifying files.
