HELIOS Software Updates
Updates to our software products are provided whenever they are needed to fix a particular problem, to adapt a product to platform enhancements, to provide workarounds for known problems, to submit additional features.
Browsing our updates repository is free.
Downloading updates requires certain access rights. Details are given in the download area.
Notes about HELIOS updates:
- Updates are either meant for a particular platform only, or for all platforms.
- Updates are either “suggested” or “mandatory”. Mandatory updates should always be installed in order to avoid potential problems in the future.
- Our support department provides detailed description files for the updates. They contain information about platform and purpose of the update. The files are located in our Updates browser.
Notes about how to install updates you have downloaded from the Web server
- For CD018 or later (e.g. EtherShare 3.1), refer to §17.2 of the Base UB+ manual, “Using the HELIOS Update Installer”.
- For older versions, refer to § 4.8 of the EtherShare 2.6 manual, “Installing Updates Using the HELIOS Update Installer”.
