OS X 10.8 client support

OS X 10.8 “Mountain Lion” network clients will work with HELIOS UB2 based versions. Older AFP servers are not supported anymore.

HELIOS UB2 includes full Mountain Lion client support including AFP connections, printing via HELIOS TCP, and file comments.

HELIOS TCP Printer on OS X 10.8 after OS migration

We got a customer report where HELIOS TCP Printer did not work properly after a new OS X 10.8 installation and migration from an older OS version. This is a migration issue where not all needed files are transferred to the new OS. The “HELIOS Server PPD” is missing.

So a re-installation of HELIOS TCP Printer from the “HELIOS Applications” volume may be needed after an OS migration.
